Due to ongoing growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are looking to fill two Structural Team Leader roles in the Wellington Structures Business Unit.
Each team leader will lead a team of 3 to 6 engineers and drafters, reporting to the Business Unit Leader.
The role will include a mixture of leadership, management, project delivery, business development and key client management and developing business strategy and planning to support sustained growth of the business unit.
The successful candidates will be senior engineers with great communication skills looking to take the next step in their career.
Required Skills/Knowledge:
- A minimum of 8 years’ experience in structural engineering and delivering and managing projects successfully;
- Highly organized approach to work
- Experience in leading people and a desire to lead others
- Strong focus on quality in outputs, standards and key stakeholder relationships
- Enthusiasm, self-motivation, a team approach and client focus
Key Responsibilities:
- Team leadership and management;
- Oversight of engineering activities within the team, providing sound engineering advice to engineers in the team
- Resource planning and management
- Collaboration with other teams and business units
- Business development
- Key client management - which involves building strong relationships with internal and external clients to provide further opportunities for market growth and positioning.
