Working partially on the tools with a team of 8 you will lead the maintenance team to provide an efficient and effective maintenance service to various production units on this site. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Supervision and Coordination of the maintenance department staff and resources
  • Managing the performance of maintenance staff
  • Supervision of contractors carrying out work within the maintenance department responsibilities
  • Accurate and timely completion of all company documentation and records (incl. service records, preventative maintenance checks, maintenance request forms, purchasing documentation, time sheets).
  • Assistance with the development and training of new and existing employees
  • Helping maintain quality systems to comply with ISO 9001 and Food Safety Programs
  • Work on the tools as the workload requires it

The following skills and experience are required:

  • Suitable trade qualification as fitter, welder or machinist
  • Experience in maintenance management
  • To have worked in a production and/or manufacturing environment
  • Experience supervising maintenance and/or engineering staff
  • A working knowledge of a maintenance management system (CMMS)
  • Ideally, experience with some of the following: processing and packing equipment, industrial crushing and screening, conveyor systems, weigh systems, batch coding, process control systems, mobile plant, pumping, steam, hydraulics, pneumatics, corrosion, electrical, mechanical fitting fabrications, mechanics.
