My client specialises in water and wastewater treatment and industrial process filtration. Its activities cover equipment sales and contracted solutions for clients in central and local government and the private sector. The business is undergoing rapid growth in a high-profile sector and has ambitious plans to be a market leader.
Due to the growth of the business and reporting into the GM Project Delivery, a new Operations Manager role has been created. In this role you will have overall responsibility for the Workshop and managing all onsite activities to ensure projects are delivered in conjunction with other internal stakeholders.
You will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle from estimation (constructability) to fabrication and installation where you will be forecasting and arranging labour, materials and plant requirements. You will also have overall responsibility through Site Managers to ensure that site activities proceed on time and within budget.
Key areas of successful performance are around health and safety and quality assurance.
To be considered for this role you will need to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant experience in the mechanical, construction and/or wastewater industries specifically in terms of site management
- A high level of relationship management expertise in terms of stakeholders and the ability to communicate highly effectively both verbally and in writing
- Relevant industry or trade qualifications in mechanical engineering or construction
- Being adaptable, flexible and having the capacity to cope with multiple issues in a changing environment
- An in-depth knowledge of health and safety and quality processes and standards
- The ability to lead and motivate teams to meet targets and objectives
