Our client, a nationwide food processing company, has a vacancy for a maintenance fitter/engineer at their Finegand location to work day shift. 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well known company in this industry. In this interesting role you will be responsible for carrying out plant and machinery maintenance, running repairs on machinery and the overhaul of light and heavy industrial equipment. As a Maintenance Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the plant's food processing machinery and general industrial equipment on site. In this fast moving environment, you'll need to be able to hit the ground running.

To be suitable for this position you will need to display the following skills:

• Mechanical Trade qualified
• Strong amount of hands on experience in industrial maintenance and fault finding
• Experience with pneumatics, hydraulics, conveyors and other fast moving manufacturing equipment
• A variety of skills in fitting, turning, welding and fabrication, or general mechanical aptitude
• Specific experience in the food, dairy, pharmaceutical or other related industries is highly regarded. 
• Experience with high speed, PLC driven production machinery and basic electrical knowledge will be highly desirable
