All about the job

This role is for someone with planning and programme or project management experience that is looking for a challenge.

In this role you will:

  • plan and have Council oversight of major intersection upgrade projects and revocation projects
  • provide transport planning input to such things as the Infrastructure Strategy, the Long Term Plan, the District Plan and other planning processes
  • oversee policy, traffic bylaws and transport related resource and building consent issues
  • liaise with key stakeholders on strategic and operational transport issues
  • become the key technical decision-maker in the Transport team.

All about you

You'll need to show us that you:

  • have broad and current engineering operational expertise in transport services
  • have an excellent track record of establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • are well versed at managing conflicting priorities to ensure quality and timely results are delivered
  • have relevant tertiary qualifications in engineering, preferably a B.E Civil or equivalent.
