About the role

Pacific Aerospace has earned a reputation as New Zealand's leading aircraft manufacturer achieving global success with its P-750XSTOL aircraft. 

Reporting to the General Manager Engineering, we need an experienced Project Manager to drive the planning and execution of a wide range of engineering and other capital expenditure projects. Working across departments you will be part of a high performing team that ensures the company can achieve its project milestones. 

This includes:

  • Working with project teams to establish project schedules and budget.
  • Monitoring & reporting on progress against the agreed schedules & milestones.
  • Updating and liaising with technical staff, management and suppliers.
  • Fostering effective working relationships with all internal departments & management, and external contractors & suppliers.
  • Generating reports suitable for consumption by all stakeholders e.g. Board of Directors, Senior Management and project team members

Job requirements

  • Tertiary qualification in engineering and/or project management.
  • Highly motivated professional with proven project management experience gained in an engineering/ industrial environment.
  • Strong time management and organisational skills including the ability to manage multiple resources.
  • The ability to manage conflicting priorities and demands.
  • Outstanding communication skills and the ability to develop strong working relationships with project participants.
  • Strong people skills to inspire trust and confidence in all stakeholders.
  • Advanced skills with industry standard project management tools.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and Project).
  • Advanced skills in report writing.
  • Commercial acumen.
  • A minimum of 5 years Project Management experience
