ABOUT THE ROLE
We are seeking a Calibration Laboratory Technician located at our Islington, Christchurch site. Ideally you will have experience in daily operations in Calibration Laboratory. The team here produce calibration testing and reporting to maintain customer expectations and laboratory accreditations. This role will require domestic travelling from time to time.
REQUIREMENTS
- Qualification-Must hold a current NZ recognised qualification e.g. NZCE or NZCS Registered Electrician Minimum EST
- We will consider all experience levels but generally a solid practical electrical foundation is required as you will be expected to understand how the equipment operates in the field to help determine best practice for calibration.
- Experience- A minimum of 2 years of laboratory experience or relevant field experience with a sound knowledge of laboratory operations and calibration environments with a working knowledge of test methods and procedures.
- Physical Ability - to carry out all aspects of the laboratory operations.
- Computer literacy - Understanding of and ability to learn, test equipment specific software.
- Safety- Willingness and ability to maintain and demonstrate an up-to-date understanding of and compliance with Broadspectrum quality, Health, Safety and Emergency (HS&E) systems, policies and procedures, including reporting of incidents, and the wearing of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
Training will be provided to the successful candidate in Calibrate Electrical Test Equipment, Optical Test Equipment and Torque wrenches.
