Our client is a multifaceted industrial engineering company. A leader in the supply of industrial equipment for, heat exchangers, air pollution control, air movement, filtration, and timber kiln drying. The company is expanding internationally and is going through an exciting cultural change process.



About the Role
The primary purpose of the role is to represent the company’s portfolio of Industrial engineering solutions within the areas of: heat and process engineering, heat exchangers, gas combustion, and air pollution control. The role involves high-level sales, business development, and supporting existing clients. The role, which reports into the Operations Manager, requires the candidate to have extensive knowledge of industrial equipment. An industrial chemical, or process, sales engineer would be very complementary to the current mechanical engineering team. Therefore, industrial sales engineers with chemical engineering as well as mechanical experience will be highly considered.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Promote the company’s Industrial Engineering solutions and services
  • Developing and maintaining regular customer contact through proactive communication
  • Regular reporting of promotion and sales activities
  • Growing market share by developing long-term relationships with key target customers
  • Technical support to clients
  • To act as first point of contact for heat and process engineering, heat exchangers, gas combustion, and air pollution control
  • Providing quotations/tenders on a timely basis to prospective clients, working closely with other departments
  • Develop good working relationships across the business


To be successful for this role you must have the following:
  • 15+ years’ experience
  • A desired background in chemical and process engineering. Ideally thermodynamics and/or gas combustion.
  • Degree qualified preferred, and extensive industrial experience essential
  • Industrial sales experience highly advantageous
  • Outstanding communication skills (written and verbal) essential
  • Accuracy and attention to detail
  • National and International travel required
  • The ability to grow into an industrial sales manager role
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of industrial equipment and engineering solutions
