Senior Electrical Project Engineer

JLE Electrical is one of New Zealand's leading providers of Electrical and Mechanical Services to the Industrial sector with particular focus on Oil and Gas, Construction, Mining, Power Generation and the Food & Beverage Industries.

Due to high demand for our services and to fulfil our customer requirements, we require a Electrical Engineer to join the team in Auckland.

As a key member of the projects team, this position will be responsible for assisting with the successful delivery of projects in the Upper North Island and abroad.

Your duties will include:

• Work with team leads and project managers to maintain the overall responsibility for the delivery of complex projects to the required safety, quality, schedule and budget.
• Develop engineering deliverables that supports project delivery efficiency in design, project implementation and commissioning, whilst meeting JLE's contractual responsibilities on the project.
• Provide Technical and Design input into work carried out by JLE,
• Developing trust and managing the relationship with customers and ensuring a shared understanding of key issues.
• Manage effective communications with all project stakeholders
• Assist in the collation of data and the reporting to enable the delivery of the financial objectives for the project.
• Understand and comply with implemented risk management programs 
• Assist the project manager in undertaking detailed planning and scheduling of the project and manage resource allocation
• Report to the Auckland Management team on project progress

Candidates should have the following attributes;

• Electrical Engineering Degree Qualification
• Minimum 3 years practical experience. Design Experience with be an advantage.
• Excellent computer skill/ proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel & Project.
• Ability to learn quickly/ interest in constant improvement
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate with and build relationships with existing and new customers
• Commitment to a Safe workplace.
• Good Interpersonal skills
• Excellent Planning and Organising Skills
• Attention to detail, self motivated and proactive work ethic.
• Experience with Web Application development using PHP, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript and jQuery and responsive web sites and in a business context would also be an advantage.
