Our client is a leading national food processing business with an opportunity for a qualified Shift Engineer/ Boilerman to become a key member of a solid and experienced team who get the job done and have a bit of fun along the way.
Looking after the boiler will be a core part of the role but it will also broaden out to services for a lot more of the plant, therefore if you have preventative maintenance experience, pneumatics and/ or hydraulics skills and ideally a trade’s background we'd like to speak with you. If you are looking for a move South for the great outdoors, or are there already and looking for a fresh new start, this could be the one for you!
The role:
- Upholding Health & Safety standards to exemplary level
- Undertaking maintenance work autonomously or as part of team
- Ensuring boiler and all services efficiently support production schedule
- Championing computer based maintenance system
- Covering any hands-on machine repair and servicing
- Machine inspections and ordering of spare parts
- Diagnosing issues and implementing solutions
- Improving overall reliability of machinery
- Working within maintenance schedules
- Delivering increased machine reliability
- Monitoring asset performance
Skills and experience:
- Proven ability in general engineering and maintenance methods
- Food processing or manufacturing background
- Chilled/ potable/ waste water systems in processing environment
- Solid understanding of Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
- Automation and Electrical understanding
- Ability to recommend changes and implementations
- Hygiene/ food security and 'red-line areas' familiarity
- Diagnostics background would be advantageous
- Familiarity with food safety systems - HACCP
- Enchem Level 4 Boiler ticket
- Ideally trade certificate maintenance and diagnostics
