Description
- Undertake and lead the structural design and construction phase of medium to large project
- Work within agreed time frames, project specifications and set budgets
- Liaise with clients, architects, consultant team, territorial authorities and contractors
- Prepare engineering reports, contract documentation and technical consents
- Construction monitoring of structural trades, site reports and engineering instructions
- Mentor junior staff on technical and professional standards
Profile
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Related Engineering degree
- Preferably Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) or close to attaining but not essential
- Structural engineering design and analysis experience in multi-storey residential, commercial and industrial structures
- Thorough understanding of New Zealand Building/Structural codes
- Professional and confident interaction with clients and staff
- Exceptional problem solving skills to deliver innovative solutions to clients
- Committed to delivering high standards of professional engineering excellence
- Able to remain calm under pressure with flexibility to meet changing demands
