Overview
This R&D company produces valuable raw materials by extracting them from industrial waste, using innovative chemistry, advanced materials and process design. Position
The position involves joining the team at their industrial process plant where redevelopment and continuous improvement refines the process towards commercialisation. As it is an industrial process plant with chemical hazards, a holistic view is required across risk areas, shutdowns, builds, equipment and process design. There is teamwork as well as high reliance on your own skills and judgement during this stimulating development phase.
Person
It requires a special person who is highly talented in handling chemical processes in a plant environment also demonstrating a mechanical aptitude, a professional who operates with confidentiality and straddles hands on and strategic thinking. An articulate communicator, you will be detailed focussed, innovative and curious with ability to think conceptually and solve complex problems. With a chemical engineering qualification, your processing plant experience is likely to be in forestry, mining or manufacturing sectors.
