This is a global award-winning consultancy who are well-known leaders within the market and operate 14 offices across New Zealand. They strive to set standards within the water and natural resources sectors and pride themselves on their cultural diversity, work ethics and education. They now have a vacancy for a Senior/Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join their Auckland team.

This is a pivotal role within the business that will see you providing valuable contributions and strategic direction to across the New Zealand Geotechnical business. You will be required to manage a diverse range of projects across the transport, infrastructure and energy sectors as well as leading staff and delegating work throughout these jobs. This role is extremely varied but you will be expected to provide sound advice to clients as well as mentor and develop junior team members.

In order to be successful in this role it is imperative that you possess the following:

• A current valid NZ work visa or residency status
• NZ Chartered registration status as well as extensive experience working in the Geotechnical field within New Zealand, however experienced UK or Australian Geotechnical Engineers will also be considered
• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal and the ability to build strong relationships with existing and new clients
• You will need to be a well-seasoned Geotechnical Engineer who has experience across a range of fields and projects
• A drive to succeed and someone who is motivated by leading your team to success
