The opportunity

Due to the increase in size of the Auckland Transportation team as TDG joins Stantec, we need a Safety Panel Team Lead who will co-ordinate the activities of the safety panel sub-team across the Auckland offices and assist the Auckland Transportation Leader in effectively leading and managing the Auckland Transport group.
Key aspects of the role include:
• Ensure the Safety Panel sub-team resources are optimally utilised, with the right person for the right job.
• Ensure the sub-team meets (or exceeds) its financial performance targets
• Provide technical direction and coaching to staff.
• Assist the Auckland Transportation Leader to coordinate mentoring and support to retain staff
• Co-ordinate project resources in liaison with Project Managers, Team Leaders and Group Managers.
• Clearly understand the strategic objectives of new and existing clients to undertake business development and identify new opportunities
You will have at least 8+ years relevant experience in the transportation field, particularly in traffic safety, as well as proven revenue generation, strong client relationships and demonstrated knowledge of business and project finances.
