Enjoying a strong reputation in the Wellington building services market and a high level of demand for their services in mechanical, electrical and plumbing services from commercial sector clients requiring high quality maintenance, repair and contracting expertise, our client is now expanding their team. We are seeking a talented people and Project Manager with a proven background in Building Services Contracting who can demonstrate a successful career to date and the drive and ambition to further their career.
Technical background:
Trade qualification is some / all of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing & Drainage is essential, a Project Management qualification would be considered desirable
Key experience required:
- Significant experience in planning, managing and delivering building services project
- Proven ability in managing and development teams
- Ability to professionally interact with Architects, Contractors and Consultants
- Proven experience of managing expectations of all Stakeholders
- Ability to maintain collaborative and positive relationships with multiple clients.
Skills / Attributes required:
- Fluent written and spoken English
- Ability to communicate effectively across a wide level of Stakeholders encompassing trades and professionals.
- High level of commercial and contractual awareness
- Ability to react to fast moving events in a dynamic environment
- High level of personal integrity and honesty
In this position you will be work alongside the Managing Director and General Manager to ensure the business maintains their capability to successfully deliver projects for commercial sector clients requiring high quality installation, upgrades, repairs and alterations to their building services plant. The role encompasses pre-contract planning, management and execution of jobs and the management and leadership of the contracting team ensuring successful project delivery, maintaining client satisfaction and achievement of profit margin.
You may already be based in Wellington or working in New Zealand and seeking to relocate to the capital, our client is willing to consider applicants based in overseas locations who are genuinely seeking a long term / permanent relocation to New Zealand.
