BBO is also part of the Safe Roads Alliance working with the NZ Transport Agency to make New Zealand’s roads safer. We are big enough to offer sizeable and interesting projects, but small enough to be responsive and personal.
BBO is recruiting an experienced Site Representative to supervise construction on highway, road and civil infrastructure projects. In this role, you’ll be operating as the Engineer’s site representative to ensure the contract is appropriately administered.
The Challenge
- Oversee the construction of highway, road and civil infrastructure projects.
- Inspect and report to the ‘Engineer to the Contract’ on H&S, quality, programme, budget and exception issues associated with the construction works and contract.
- Administer the contract on a day to day basis.
- Proactively work with the Contractor to anticipate problems and risks in advance and ensure problems are mitigated or removed.
Your Skills
- Hold a Civil Engineering diploma or degree qualification.
- Minimum of 5 years relevant experience including overseeing civil construction works in New Zealand.
- Sound technical understanding of construction issues.
- Sound knowledge of contracts and contract administration.
- Proactive with good people and communication skills.
