Stevenson Resources is a major aggregate supplier to the Auckland and Waikato regions with quarries in Drury and Huntly.
We are currently looking for trade qualified Maintenance Fitters to join our talented team of 17 engineers. We have positions available on the day, and evening shifts and regular overtime is currently available.
Based at Drury, NZ’s largest aggregates quarry, you will also support our Huntly quarry operation too. With the nature of our operations, we rely heavily on our skilled maintenance team to keep our heavy mechanical equipment running efficiently and effectively. This is a hands-on trade role, so you will need to be well versed in heavy engineering.
Coming from a heavy engineering background you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining mobile crushing and screening plant
- Maintaining fixed plant, Cone and Jaw crushers, screens and conveyor systems
- Welding/fabrication (MMAW/GMAW)
- Maintenance software programmes, exposure to MEX would be advantageous (but is not essential)
As well as your trade you will also need to hold a current and clean full drivers licence (critical as you will regularly use a company pool vehicle). It would also be beneficial if candidates held certifications for heights/confined space entry.
