We are offering an Electricity Line Designer the chance to have challenging work as well as maintaining a work life balance. If you want to be part of a team of Line Designers and Design Engineers or you think you can bring something to the table we want to hear from you!
The Electricity Line Designer provides overhead and underground line designs to the wider Powerco business and assists with the development, maintenance and operation of Powerco's electrical distribution network. If you have an analytical mind, like to get out and inspect lines then this role in our Line Design team may be for you.
Key responsibilities include the following:
- Prepare detailed scopes and designs for Powerco's network
- Assist the development of Powerco's electricity network overhead and underground policies and standards
- Assist with the preparation of development and renewal plans for Powerco's overhead and underground network
- Assist with designing standard structures to enhance and develop the network
- Provide support to other Powerco teams and contractors in managing lines related projects
It is preferable that candidates have the following:
- A recognised qualification in the electrical industry
- Knowledge of line design applications
- Knowledge of electricity overhead and underground designs
- A understanding of AS/NZS 7000 Overhead line design standard
- Excellent problem solving skills
