DCL designs and manufactures vehicle mounted road survey equipment (www.romdas.com). We are a small company working in an international market which brings its own interesting challenges and opportunities. We work with a variety of technologies (from simple mechanical devices to high-end laser scanning units) and can offer a great environment for those with inquisitive and innovative minds.

We are looking for a new production technician to join our manufacturing team. This position will involve production of products (including fabrication and electronics) as well as performing post-production testing and diagnosing faults.

The position offers a wide variety of opportunities including international travel. This work would be suited to someone who can become invested in their work and enjoys coming up with innovative solutions to engineering type problems.

The role will involve (but not limited to);

• Manufacture and assembly of products (mixture of basic metal working, electronic assembly and mechanical assembly)
• Product testing
• Updating production and testing procedures
• Assisting with design and prototyping of new products

Skills & Experience;

• Engineering/technical background
• Electronic experience or qualification (incl. soldering, wiring and electronic component recognition)
• Experience working with and composing procedures
• Good organisational skills
• Basic metal fabrication experience (Optional)
• Automotive experience/understanding (Optional)
• Health & Safety experience/qualification (Optional)
• Basic CAD experience (Optional)
