This local tier two construction company is highly respected and seeking a Planner to join their team in a time of growth. They need an experienced and passionate contract Planner to assist with a variety of projects across the construction sector inclusive of education, retail, commercial and industrial. The projects will range in value from $1 million - $30 million.

This company is in growth mode and therefore expanding their team.  We are looking for someone who is passionate and knowledgeable, able to lead in this capacity, and can effectively communicate this program and upskill/mentor the team as required.

Over 6-months you will set-up the construction planning systems to relieve the Construction Manager within the team. The long-term goal is to enable the position to be taken over by a permanent staff member due to your contribution to its successful internal establishment.  

You will be required to:

• Develop the tender program into a fully integrated design, procurement and project program in co-ordination with the pre-construction and site management team
• Develop short-term requirements as per their internal requirements of the pre-construction team
• Ensure the effective and efficient maintenance of the program
• Communicate program performance, time and outcomes in a timely way with stakeholder inclusive of site mangers, foreman and project managers at all levels.

To be successful you will have planning experience working for a commercial main contractor and a minimum of 10 years industry experience. You could be either an experienced Construction Planner or a Senior Project Manager with a passion for planning. In return you will be offered $60-$80 per hour and be part of an inclusive and supportive work environment for 6-months.
