About the Role:
Reporting to the General Manager, this role is responsible for the successful delivery of a range of civil construction works, with a primary focus on the growth of sub-divisional contracts up to 200-lot in size across the Auckland, Northland, and Hamilton. In this Senior role, you will be the go-to person for all staff and capable of communicating effectively with a wide range of project stakeholders. Alongside the General Manager, you will play a key part in pricing and tendering process for new contracts, so a background in Quantity Surveying or Estimating land development works is essential. You will be a competent individual with strong time management skills, and a will to get involved in a range of capacities. This entails - managing sub-contractors, ensuring all work is up to H&S Standards, and running all projects to the specification given.
Duties:
- Successful delivery of a range of civil works, with a strong focus on land development projects
- Assist with pricing and tendering for upcoming projects
- Manage staff and sub-contractors
- Ensure H&S is at a premium
- QA
- Report on aspects of the project
- Work closely with engineers and mangers
- Supervise crews on subdivisions, land development projects and infrastructure
Skills and Experience:
- 5+ years in the construction industry at a management level
- Strong ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a range of people
- Civil specific experience (land development a must)
- Relevant tertiary qualification a bonus
- Strong communication capabilities, verbal and written
