About the Role
  
Our client is seeking to employ an experienced Estimator / Production Manager to oversee all aspects of production and the smooth running of their busy aluminum joinery factory as well as being responsible for preparing quotations.  This role will see you managing a team of 5 in the aluminum workshop and ensuring that their work is produced in line with the high standards that the company is recognized for.  To be successful in this role you will need to be numerically astute, technically minded and a great communicator. 
  
Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparing estimates and quotes that are complete and accurate
• Operate inhouse software to efficiently produce cost estimates, materials, and job sheets
• Liaise with Clients and build positive and professional working relationships
• Preparation of monthly job and time cards
• Implement and maintain systems and processes to improve the throughput, quality and output of the factory
• Ordering of raw materials ensuring they are available prior to the factory commencing manufacturing
• Lead, direct and motivate factory team members
• Adhere to company Health & Safety requirements

 To be successful for this role you must have the following:

• Experience in production management within aluminum joinery manufacture environment
• Experience in quoting and ordering
• Knowledge of building plans and specifications
• Attention to detail
• Exceptional communication and comprehension skills both written and verbal
• Ability to work as part of a team and also independently
• Intermediate computer skills, with working knowledge of MSOffice suite
• Excellent organisational skills and strong people management ability.
• Strong skills in problem solving and the ability to complete projects within a set period and to budget.
• Full NZ drivers licence
• Forklift licence would be beneficial but not essential
