Bureau are working exclusively with a well-established awarding winning construction company. With over 20 years in the business this organisation celebrates a track record of successful projects ranging from fit outs, to large scale concrete and apartment buildings. They are currently seeking a Senior Project Manager to take the lead on their latest development in South Auckland.
Your duties will include:
- Delivering projects within time, cost, and client parameters of contracts
- Coordinate with project teams, inspectors, contractors, and suppliers
- Schedule weekly meetings to discuss progress reports, safety reports, and financial reports: to address general concerns and any proposed initiatives
- Identify project risks and ascertain appropriate resolutions through collaborative applications
- Promptly resolve any quality control or structural integrity issues
- Adhere to (and promote) occupational safety and health standards over entire project
- Provide leadership to project teams, administrative personnel, and contractors
- Build client confidence and satisfaction to achieve long-term relationships
- Supervise the layout of framing construction
- Supervise construction of concrete foundations
- Supervise construction of concrete flat work
- Execute the full duties of General Contractor/Project Manager
- Secure subcontractors for project team
- Consult with engineers as required.
- Coordinate objectives with project team members, inspectors, contractors, and suppliers
- Direct supervision of (and engagement with) carpentry and concrete construction crews
- Build and maintain client confidence though prompt communication and quality construction
Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a Project Manager on large scale commercial projects
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong programming and planning skills
- Strong commercial acumen, cost management and financial reporting skills
- Demonstrate a high level of initiative and drive and a passion for construction management
- Strong commitment to health and Safety
- Proficient with the Microsoft suite
- Relevant degree or qualification
