A little bit about the role

You’ll be working closely one of the Directors and your role is to look after all things Accounting related. The nature of the business means no day will be the same. You will be working in a highly creative environment with a fluid, ever-changing pace so you’ll enjoy being a part of a growth SME.  A boring corporate with tick box lists; this is not!!
This role will stretch somebody from hands-on transactional work right through to overseeing the budget and writing board packs.

Other core responsibilities include:

• Accounts Payable / Receivable
• Maintenance of financial and workflow systems
• Reconciliations of banking and ledger
• Liaising with Project Managers and Directors on progress
• Internal Payroll and on-boarding of staff
• Preparation and filing of PAYE, GST
• Maintaining budget and variance analysis
• Board reporting
• Liaising with external accountants regarding tax and year-end
• Being generally awesome and taking on anything thrown your way

This business operates in a fast-paced, high-energy environment and you will need to be ok with having multiple things going on at any one time. You’ll have the confidence and communication skills to walk around the business to collect or share the information needed to keep things moving. The directors run a really hands-on and flat structured environment, so you’ll be a part of a focused and ambitious team who are all about getting things done!


So who are you and what is your profile

Your personality and fit with the team is key.  You are positive, proactive, have initiative and you’re not ego driven.  As with most cool businesses like these - the people that do well are the ones who get stuck in and do whatever needs doing.
Your prior work will have included an Assistant Accountant, Company Accountant or Finance Manager role.  You may have started off in the corporate world, but have worked in a growth SME and enjoy the varied nature and relaxed but ambitious environment that this provides.
Experience in the creative industry with dynamic people around you would be preferred, but not vital.

This is a sole charge role with a lot of responsibility to help make a difference in what is a very cool company.
The biggest thing for this role is team fit. Directors are really looking for someone who is going to mould well into this vibrant, creative environment from day one.
