Our client is a well-known, NZ owned and operated trade organisation who are seeking an Accounts Payable star to join their finance team. You will join the finance team who support 120 other Wellington based staff who work either in the head office, or out on work sites. Their office is fast-paced, fun and friendly, and would suit a like-minded person who is skilled in AP administration and is comfortable managing their workload to meet deadlines.
This is a 20 hour per week position, and our client is able to offer you flexibility around when the hours are worked, which is a real bonus if you need to balance your work life with other commitments.
Some of the key tasks you will be responsible for are;
- Processing all accounts payable invoices
- Reconciling to purchase orders
- Ensuring all invoicing is ready for end of month payment runs
- Updating and maintaining all supplier information
- Looking after all accounts payable queries
- Acting as back-up to payroll for 140 staff
- Liaising with other branches across the country
The ideal candidate will have the following;
- 2-3 years minimum in a comparable role
- Previous experience with Xero
- An eye for detail
- Good excel and outlook skills
- Professional and personable phone manner
