To be successful with your application, you will have the following:
- A minimum of 5 years Construction experience (site management/foreman background)
- Sound overall health and safety knowledge
- Site experience rather than legislative knowledge is more important, legislation can be easily taught
- Site specific training - heights/confined space/ewp/scaffolding etc
- Good communication
- Understanding of principal requirements from subcontractors and paperwork
- Perform site inspections and assist with independent audits
- Ability to run/organise onsite training sessions and identify future training needs
- Take ownership of onsite health and safety systems and ensure they are to legislative and best practise standards, eg review of task analysis and risk assessments for high risk works, emergency and safety procedures etc
- General support the onsite team
- Ability to review methodologies and suggest alternatives where required
