Bureau are working exclusively with a boutique project management consultancy, they are highly experienced practitioners managing complex and multi-million-dollar projects around New Zealand. These range from hospitals, luxury apartments and houses, supermarkets, large town precincts and sub-division’s. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands on experienced Project Manager who loves what they do, and is seeking an opportunity in a flat line structure where they can continue to do what they love doing without the bureaucracy.
The perfect person for this role with have the below skills and attributes:
- Excellent communication skills and ability to transverse across all levels of seniority when dealing with clients, clients reps, consultants and contractors
- A relevant qualification Engineering / Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
- Inspiring and positive leadership style that creates a highly performing team
- A self-starter who has a mature approach to Project Management
- A can do attitude
- Someone who can provide clear direction and escalation to the design team, contractor and clients
- Proactive in tackling issues/risks to avoid problems languishing causing delay or cost overruns
- Excellent work ethic and caring attitude
- Someone who will treat the business as their own
- Sense of Humour and cool head is essential
- Good understanding of technical construction or industry and contract administration – desirable, not essential
- Proficient computer skills
- Attention to detail essential – reads information and understands this in context of impact, time, budget and client’s expectations -be more than a post box.
- Thick skinned as this is not a role for the faint hearted
