Project Manager | Civil Infrastructure Projects | Christchurch
Stellar Recruitment are currently parenting with a New Zealand Civil Construction Industry Leader as they expand their senior team to include - Project Engineers and Project Managers.
Our client is recognised across the Christchurch market and wider South Island for experience, technical capability and a history of project success across a broad range of disciplines including: Earthworks, Drainage, Roading, Subdivisions, Demolition and Civil Works.

As Project Manager, your responsibilities will be to lead the project team and complete the assigned project with total ownership from pre-tender through to project close out. Monitor and report on project cash flows and financial reporting. Establish and manage external relationships with local organisations and community; oversee the management of Project programming, cost control, quality control, procurement, contracts administration, supervision, general site administration and the activities of sub-contractors. In addition, as Senior Project Manager you will play a monitoring role with Junior Site Engineers and Project Engineers.
Skills, Experience & Attributes:
- Tertiary Qualifications in Civil Engineering
- Minimum 6 years' experience in civil construction
- Proven ability to deliver projects above $4M in value
- Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to problem solve and provide solutions to engineering issues
- Experience managing multiple sites liaising with Foreman and Consultants
- Excellent time management and planning skills
- Experience preparing and signing off progress payment claims
