Due to continued growth and a steady forward portfolio of projects, our client now requires a Civil Construction Estimator to join their team based in the Bay of Plenty. You will be responsible for evaluating tender specifications and documents required to successfully tender and win locally based projects. Some of your day to day will include: • Estimating, contract negotiation, scheduling and pricing of projects • Submissions including priced and non-priced attributes • Measuring the financial performance of projects • Compiling tender documents Ideally for this role you will have: A Tertiary Qualification, Degree or equivalent in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying (preferred) Proven experience in a similar position Strong civil contracting experience in commercial infrastructure environments You will have good commercial acumen and a mind capable of financial analysis. You will also have strong problem-solving ability and keen attention to detail. You’ll also need to be able to communicate well, verbally and in writing. Organisational and presentational skills are crucial, as is the ability to meet tight deadlines.
