As Project Manager you will display a high level of contract management, civil contracting and project delivery experience on road construction, drainage, land development and greenfield projects across the Auckland region.
The scope of works for the projects will include; drainage, roading - including footpath, pavements and kerb channel as well as sewage and storm water works.
The key responsibilities for this role include clear and direct leadership to your team whilst you deliver accurate contractual and financial management of contracts. Ideally you will have experience working on the contractor side of civil construction projects as well as knowledge of tendering, estimations, and quantity surveying. Experience within tendering, programming, development of methodologies and attribute writing is desirable yet not essential.
To ensure success in this role you will ideally bring with you;
- Tertiary qualified (NZCE, Diploma or BE Civil) or long term experience
- Excellent ability and knowledge of the Canterbury region/market
- Successful team leadership and people management
- Awareness of the importance of both internal and external customers
- The ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment
- Advanced and professional interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to communicate with Clients, Engineers and Supervisors keeping best practice and company ethics in mind
- Willingness to work outside of business hours to meet deadlines in peak periods
