The Opportunity

Reporting in to the Operations Manager Stahlton, you will lead a team and be responsible for the overall production leadership and management functions of Stahlton North Island Branches. Operational planning, production management and quality management are all core duties that will be carried out directly. 

You will be instrumental in ensuring staff are supported in all aspects of their work, championing Health and Safety and providing solid leadership for their development.

Your Health and Safety and Environmental record should demonstrate your ability to deliver a Zero Harm environment and an ability to lead and motivate those around you to continuously improve.

 

The following skills and attributes are also required:

  • At least 10 years’ experience within a contracting environment in NZ manufacturing
  • Degree level tertiary qualification and/or equivalent in Civil Engineering & Management
  • Passionate about Health and Safety
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience and desire to lead and mentor a team or 30 people or more
  • Proficient in operational planning including Master Scheduling & Resource Management
  • At least 5 years of direct Continuous Improvement (Lean) exposure
