Fluid Recruitment seeks an experienced Farm/Agri Accountant to join a small CA firm based in Ashburton. There is huge potential for career progression and maybe even a partnership opportunity in the longer term for the right candidate.
About the Company
The firm has a traditionally rural client base and requires someone with specialist agri accounting knowledge who can develop relationships in the rural sector. It targets a niche level of tailored strategic planning and management consulting which sits outside the bounds of traditional accounting. The role will suit a strategically minded consultant who can effortlessly develop new and existing client relationships.
A partner is looking to step away from the business in the coming years which makes this an invaluable opportunity to fulfill partnership ambition in the long term.
About the Role
In a typical day you will be interacting with clients, monitoring the completion of compliance and advisory work, and supporting junior team members. Your leadership value will be emphasised in a relatively small team and as such the role will suit someone with ambition to take on more senior responsibilities.
You will provide specialist agricultural knowledge and show an in depth understanding of the unique requirements of rural clients and how the service differs from traditional accounting.
Skills and Experience
In addition to a strong technical knowledge, you will be a proactive individual who is driven by finding innovative business solutions for clients.
- Relevant tertiary qualification and CA qualified
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Experience in a New Zealand CA environment
- Proven record of outstanding client interaction with a varied client base
- Specialist rural knowledge, which may include involvement in a rural community
