Main responsibility will be to prepare fee proposals and traffic impact assessments along with analysing road networks. From this you will formulate reports to be presented to clients. You will liaise with a range of stakeholders both internal and external on a number of issues as well as undertaking aspects of project management.

Description

  • Prepared traffic analysis reports, which include transportation modelling, traffic signal warrant analysis, operational analysis of traffic signals and roundabouts, design of public transport routes, walking and cycling facilities, and ITS design.
  • Knowledge of traffic signal detail design including phasing plans, ducting and cabling works.
  • Assessment of parking demand as per land use, analysis of extensive parking survey data, calculate parking turnover, duration, and occupancy.
  • Prepared road marking and signage plans for highways and local streets.
  • Designed directional signs for rural roads.
  • Prepared traffic diversion plans for highways.
  • Approved work zone traffic management plans prepared by the contractor.
  • Reviewed accident reports and proposed mitigation measures as per site conditions, and prepare technical reports for traffic and road safety.
  • Performed reconnaissance survey of National highways, fixing traffic survey points, supervision of traffic surveys, and analysis of the data and travel characteristics.
  • Performed capacity analysis of National Highways, generated and diverted traffic estimation, toll rate analysis, traffic growth projections, and calculation of traffic growth rates based on econometric method.

Profile

Tertiary qualifications in Civil of Traffic Engineering and will have 3+ years’ experience in a similar role at a consultancy as well as a proven track record in the use of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or 12D. It is vital that you are highly organised and a strong written and verbal communicator and well versed with road safety devices standards for highways as per road side design guide and NCHRP 350 report
