About the role

As the Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for the project cost components of the minor capex works, repairs & maintenance to Auckland Council assets. This includes:

• Ensuring robust, accurate and innovative financial and commercial advice is delivered to the project team
• Maintaining control of financial and contractual aspects of the project.
• Managing internal & external pricing data and analysis, procuring a panel of subcontractors & suppliers
• Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders

This role will deliver a high standard of work in line with company, contractual and legislative & safety procedures prescribed and agreed between Auckland Council and Ventia. Important within the context of this position is the requirement for the staff member to perform other duties, as may be required, to ensure all mandated services are delivered as per the scope of the Full Facilities Contract.

About you

• Relevant tertiary qualification in Accounting, Quantity Surveying, Building, Engineering or Construction Management
• Operating knowledge of JDE systems
• Demonstrated track record in estimating & contract administration in facilities maintenance contracts
• Demonstrated experience establishing project budgets, measurement protocols, preparing contracts, project reporting, establishing financial and contractual controls and contractual correspondence
