National Client is an industry leader across the civil infrastructure sector in New Zealand, we are looking for an exceptionally talented and experienced Project Manager to oversee the state highway rehab projects on a long-term road maintenance contract based in the Waikato region. This is a great opportunity to work on National Projects with the ease of smaller city living in the beautiful Waikato. Located in the lovely town of Morrinsville, close to the Coromandel and the Bay of Plenty. There is affordable housing, fantastic cafes, great work/life balance in the gateway to the Central North Island – located close to beaches, lakes, rivers, cycleways and mountains. You will also be well rewarded financially for the experience, expertise and commitment you bring to this contract. This is seen as a strategic level role within the business working on this long-term maintenance contract with a major player in the roading industry. There is also the opportunity for this position to expand and develop so we are looking for someone with long term aspirations. In order to be considered for this critical role, you must possess the following expertise: • Significant Project Management experience (7 + years) on Maintenance Contracts in the Roading Industry ($5M +) or similar industry experience • Relevant Tertiary Qualifications – Bachelor of Engineering (Civil), NZCE qualifications or similar. • Previous experience in leading and driving the performance of field based teams as well as external consultants. • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to build very strong working relationships • Strong working knowledge with the HSE practices within the Roads Construction and Maintenance Industry. You will be working alongside some of the country’s most dynamic and technically astute group of professionals and you will be provided with all the support required to achieve optimum results.
