The Company

This is a well-established main contractor that has accumulated decades of experience in the local Auckland market. They are relatively flat structured and offer a dynamic team work environment. Most of their projects are under $50M with major clients offering a steady flow of repeat work.

Due to the pace of growth, they are now looking for a programmer to assist in achieving project outcomes. It is essential you understand how to build and put methodologies together at the same time

The role will be a mix of off office and site based and will involve:

• Developing detailed construction programmes
• Establishing construction methodologies and plans for exising projects and those being tendered for
• Monitoring project progress against programme and developing reports
• Undertaking analysis of programmes against contractual requirements including assessing delay claims and extensions of time
• Working across a variety of projects and different Clients
• Communicating directly with clients and attending meetings

Your ideal background is:

• A relevant tertiary construction qualification
• 8 years’ NZ experience in an equivalent position or you maybe a project manager looking to focus on just the programming aspect
• Advanced Experience in MS Project programming software
• Strong communication and written skills
• Strong analytical skills, naturally great iniaitive  
• Proven ability to meet deadlines and adapt to Client Requirements

Remuneration: $120K - $150K+
