About the opportunity
We have an outstanding opportunity for an experienced Project Director to work alongside CGML Director and will be a key lead on the delivery of several multi-projects from inception through to completion including large new build hotel projects.
This role is office-based, but may spend some time attending meetings or visiting contractors and suppliers. If there are building projects, the Project Director will visit construction sites as necessary.
The projects we manage (Hotel, Commercial and residential) generally fall within $10m to $25m+ range. The Project Director will ideally be a qualified Quantity Surveyor. This is not essential but a good understanding of financial management principals is required.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Support CGML Director with day to day project activities
- Preparation and maintenance of project data for regular reporting
- Deliver development appraisals with a solid understanding of the planning process and procurement routes.
- Managing external consultants, architects and contractor through all stages
- Budgeting, monitoring and updating financial forecasts and cash flows on projects
- Identifying and managing project risks
- Update Leadership Team on the progress of the project
Critical for success in this role are solid experience delivering hotel and mixed use developments from inception through to completion, contract administration experience, strong communication skills and consultative approach.
