The Opportunity
In New Zealand, the construction industry is poised for an unprecedented level of growth, with CPB well positioned in terms of current work in hand, and pipeline of future projects in the Waikato area. We need people who are talented, motivated and disciplined, and who have a strong work ethic that drives them to succeed.
With our forecast construction activities in 2018/19, we are seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a key projects in the Waikato area with the candidate ideally located in the Auckland, Hamilton or Bay of Plenty areas.
To be considered for these opportunities candidates will possess the following:
- Tertiary qualifications in Quantity Surveying
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a Quantity Surveying role on major projects
- Experience with leasing with various sub-contractors and forming positive working relationships
- Experience working within a BIM environment
- Tender evaluation, analysis and negotiation experience
- Experience in estimating from project conception to completion
As the successful candidate you will need to be a self-starter who is highly motivated, well organized and committed to the highest possible work standards. You will also have the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractors.
All potential CPB contractors employees will be require the right to work in New Zealand and complete a range of pre-employment checks including Ministry of justice checks, Reference checking and qualification checks.
