The Opportunity
As a Project Manager you will be responsible for the overall management and delivery of projects, achieving optimum production and cost outcomes by managing the day-to-day running of projects, including workforce management, in a healthy and safe focused environment. This role will also undertake cost control, estimating, budgeting, forecasting, sub-contract management and commercial negotiation activities as required. Projects could be in the areas of commercial construction and government projects
With our forecast construction activities in 2018/19 we are seeking a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team on a key projects in the Waikato area with the candidate ideally located or willing to relocate to the Hamilton or Cambridge areas.
Minimum requirements for this role include:
•A proven track record with a tier 1 or 2 contractor delivering large scale building projects
•Strong relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills.
•Extensive project management experience on 100 million plus commercial building projects
•Tertiary qualifications in Construction or Engineering
As the successful candidate you will need to be a self-starter who is highly motivated, well organized and committed to the highest possible work standards. You will also have the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, clients and subcontractors.
