A need exists to bring on board an astute Senior Quantity Surveyor to assist in the financial delivery, ensuring financial returns across projects within our business.

Key components of this role are:

• Cost management and tendering
• Administration of contracts
• Financial reporting, variations, extracting good margins
• Auditing and authorisation of large supplier orders
• Compiling and negotiating robust contractual claims for extension of time, loss and expense etc.
• Ensuring that all notices and other constraints are adhered to ensure that claims are admissible

Key success areas for this role are:

• A strong QS/Estimating background of more than 5 years' experience.  Should be commercially switched on
• Driving cost savings and the ability to have hard conversations
• Client facing experience is essential
• Commitment to being part of a growing and successful company with ambitious plans
•  QS qualified is essential and being a member of NZQS, RICS or similar will be advantageous
• Should have knowledge of industry contracting procedures and contract law
• Must have excellent inter-personal skills with customers on all levels and possess strong communication skills with a professional manner.
• Must have strong attention to detail/accuracy on financial reporting
• Should possess good time management skills across multiple contracts
• A thorough knowledge of Current Regulatory and Electrical Industry requirements.
• Experience with contractual claims is essential
