Our Wainui Branch is currently looking for a Construction Supervisor to join their Transport Services team. This will be an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic individual who is looking for a leadership role and opportunity to work on a range of road construction projects throughout the Rodney region.

About the role:

With your proven experience running a range of civil maintenance and construction projects, you will be involved in a variety of work including earthworks, pavement, drainage, structures and minor concrete work.  This is a great role if you are ready to take that next step in your career.

This role will include responsibilities such as:

• On-site management and supervision of crews
• Planning, organising, directing and controlling the activities and operations of road maintenance/construction works
• Quality inspection, data collection and assisting with claiming of work
• Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and all targets (productivity, quality and safety) are met

About you:

• A proven track record of supervising teams preferably in a range of roading maintenance and civil construction activities
• Able to deal with unexpected events/make decisions and provide direction to work teams
• Shows willingness/provides solutions to assist with a "continual improvement" philosophy
• Organized and systematic approach to working environment
• Strong planning skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
