Our fast-growing “supply & install” client specialises in “Everything tiling” – from samples, advice and supply directly out of the display shop, through to professionally installed tiled bathrooms, kitchens, households and large scale commercial builds/refurbishments… and all by specialist, qualified tradesmen. They also supply and install underfloor heating and even bathroom glass - all throughout and around the greater Waikato & BOP Regions.

The company has a close family feel and is currently in a growth phase and at the same time implementing changes to systems and processes to make the company sustainable long term and less reliant on the owners’ direct input on a day to day basis.

This is an existing role, currently carried out by the owner who is wanting to spend more time working on the business, so not so heavily reliant within the business.

The role will look after all project management and contract administration including coordinating and liaison with staff, clients and consultants.  The role will be involved with tendering/quoting and forward planning, and, in time, will include business development responsibilities to assist with company growth. 

There’s approx. 10 x teams/crews of specialists undertaking projects around these Regions, ranging from smaller domestic/residential projects, to multiple house lots in large scale residential developments, through to some of the largest commercial / industrial projects in the wider Regions.

To secure this Hamilton based role, you will need:

Project Management experiences within the NZ construction / building / civil contracting industries – ideally with local contacts and networks – managing multiple contracts/projects in multiple locations as a main or sub-contractor

Forward workload planning & scheduling of teams and resources

Full OSH/H&S management & auditing

Staff training & auditing

Staff / team leadership & coordination / scheduling

Full Project & contract administration skills of 2+ years’ experience

Quoting, Estimating & Tendering experiences

Client, vendor and stakeholder liaison / facing

Full MS Office suite skills – and ideally WorkflowMax PM software

Extensive, constant communication and coordination of staff, resources, & clients is essential, along with travel throughout the wider Regions as required.

A flexible approach and “can-do” attitude is a pre-requisite, as the role and the scope of the role will evolve over time as the owner transitions into taking more of an overview. As such, the longer-term career prospects are superb!

Remuneration will delight. The 6-figure package includes a vehicle.
