The Company
This healthcare organisation has been around for over 50 years. They have a strong name in New Zealand and have multiple entities within the group. They are located in Central Auckland and are close to public transport. They have tradition and pride themselves on the values they represent not only to the community but within their own teams.
The Role
As the Accountant you will be reporting directly to the Finance Manager. You will be responsible for multiple entities and be preparing all accounts for each of these entities. This will include dealing with both General Ledger and Balance Sheet reconciliations. You will be dealing with all month end processing of journals and preparing everything up to trial balance. You will also be dealing with the cashbook and processing payment runs for Accounts Payable. You will also assist with the June year end and helping with auditors as required.
Your Profile
As the Accountant you will have at least 4 years’ experience. You will have a strong Assistant Accountant background or worked in Financial Accounting previously. You will have a good understanding of preparing financial statements and be comfortable working with multiple complicated reconciliations. You will be adaptable to work in a role with variety and be able to maintain deadlines. You will have excellent communication skills and intermediate to advance excel skills. You will be analytical and have the ability to work well with multiple areas of the business as required.
