Jnr engineer (short term contract)
Our client is an industry veteran with experience spanning over 50 years, they pride themselves on their environmentally friendly and sustainable approach to development. They currently have a massive pipeline of projects and seek a junior site engineer to join them on a short-term contract to work on a project in the heart of Auckland city.
Key tasks you will undertake will include:
- Managing parts of construction project.
- Supervising subcontractors.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
- Ensuring the project meets agreed specifications.
- Providing technical advice.
- Problem solving.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
- QA documentation.
- Communicate effectively, on technical matters between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Have a BE qualification or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven practical experience in a contracting environment.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Strong work ethic.
- A good health and safety related track record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers.
- Experience in dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council inspection staff.
You must have a valid NZ work visa and currently be in NZ to be considered for this role!
