Our client is a niche financial services organisation, headquartered on Auckland's North Shore. The company is growth-focused, well-funded and founded on an ethic of client service.
An opportunity is available for a motivated, qualified Accountant to join a dedicated finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties will involve:
- Provision of financial and strategic advice to the Finance Manager on all financial and accounting matters, including support with monthly management reports and board reporting
- Drive improvement and implementation of financial processes, systems and controls.
- To contribute to the preparation of annual business, strategic plans, Budgets and Forecasts.
To be considered for this role, you will ideally hold a relevant professional qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) and have at least 5 years' experience in a commercial finance role. A background in financial services or insurance would be highly desirable but not essential. You may also have a background in Business Advisory Services or audit and be looking to extend your experience into a commercial environment. You will have a technical and commercial mindset and a can-do attitude with the ability to build trusted-advisor relationships with stakeholders across the business.
