In this busy and varied role, you will have the opportunity to use your practical experience of managing H&S, your solid understanding of H&S sytems and reporting, while keeping your finger on the pulse on the contract management side. About the role …
- Maintain IS Networld H&S Certification
- Develop Environmental System with long term goal to achieve ISO14001
- Oversight of the overall H&S and Quality function for the business
- Key contact on all H&S matters for clients and staff
- Preparing quality plans for each project, and monitoring follow through
- Promoting a positive and effective H&S culture
- Ensuring all H&S requirements are communicated and complied with
- Maintaining and refining systems with a focus on effectiveness and efficiency
- Investigation and reporting of incidents
- Managing the use of ISO2015 to ensure certification is maintained
- Contract Management and Project Co-ordination
- Transfer systems from ACC Tertiary to ISO45001 H&S Standard (Telarc)
About you and your background …
- Solid experience in construction or civil engineering as a H&S practitioner
- Understanding of ISO 2015 systems and requirements
- Conducting site safety meetings including training and policies
- Investigations, collation of data for audits and reports
- Best practise for injury management and prevention
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the NZ OHS legislation and Codes of Practice
- Excellent skills in communication, influencing, negotiating and networking
- Self-motivated, innovative and prepared to think beyond the boundaries
- Computer savvy and experience in ISO systems
