Our client specialises in combining the latest heavy plant resource with a professional team to provide value-added engineering solutions for all facets of major infrastructure projects and land development works.
They have an exciting pipeline of upcoming projects that require them to bring on a motivated and hardworking junior site engineer, that wants to gain significant industry experience and become a valued member of a dynamic team.
Key tasks you will undertake will include:
- Managing parts of construction project.
- Supervising subcontractors.
- Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings.
- Ensuring the project meets agreed specifications.
- Providing technical advice.
- Problem solving.
- Ensuring all Health & Safety regulations are strictly adhered to.
- QA documentation.
- Communicate effectively, on technical matters between stakeholder groups including various engineering, technical, construction, operations and project groups.
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Have a BE qualification or Diploma in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
- Proven practical experience in a contracting environment.
- Excellent problem-solving ability.
- Strong work ethic.
- A good health and safety related track record.
- Ability to communicate effectively with in-house staff, subcontractors and service providers.
- Experience in dealing with clients, consultant engineers, council inspection staff.
You must have a valid NZ work visa and currently be in NZ to be considered for this role!
