Commercial Site Manager - Social Housing - South Auckland

SITE MANAGER - COMMERCIAL HOUSING - TURN KEY DEVELOPMENTS

A sole charge Site Manager is required to aid in the management and delivery of a 12 Unit Development in South Auckland under Contract Code NZS3910. This involves regular reporting to Project Manager, Operations Manager as well as weekly PCG Meetings on Site.

JOB DESCRIPTION / SUMMARY

The Site Managers primary role is to ensure the profitable construction process by effective site management, communication and coordination of the build to ensure it meets our company quality standards and the client’s expectations.

• Create a culture of excellence through continuous improvement and achievement.
• Manage the site operation from build set up to completion.
• Oversee all elements of construction and work with the project manager and team to deliver on time to budget.
• Coordination of all on site resources including trades, suppliers and client contractors.
• Great communicator to manage site related progress; issues and escalation procedures to relevant parties.

IDEAL EXPERIENCE / SKILL SET

• Trade Qualified Carpenter or Blocklayer, LBP Carpentry is also advantageous. 
• Experience working under commercial contracts is essential (NZ3910 & Construction Contracts Act 2002).
• Site Health and Safety, Quality Assurance and Leadership to ensure site meets standards of excellence.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Project and ability to make necessary alterations.
• Professional and confident in interactions including preparation of monthly site reports for management.
• Keen problem solving skills throughout the building stage.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure with flexibility to meet changing demands.
• Civil & sub divisional works experience advantageous.
