Our client is a highly respected and privately owned Construction Company with significant experience in the Land Development sector of Civil Construction. They have a very good reputation amongst Clients, Peers and Consultants for completing work to a high standard with little to no fuss. The team is steadily growing and they need an additional experienced Project Manager to help out and mentor site guys they intend to bring in to the office. This position will report to the Contracts Manager and Managing Director and liaise with other site staff.

We are seeking an experienced Part time Project Manager.
  
You must have hands on Project or site management experience and have worked in a similar role in a contracting environment. 

Your responsibilities will be varied but you will be helping the Contracts Manager not only the operational side but financial & contractual aspects of the project, claims, variations, programming and planning, directing plant and personnel, procurement, Health & Safety.  As well as your ability to manage multiple projects and provide leadership and guidance to less experienced staff, you will need to liaise with clients and oversee projects.  
  
In the role, you will be responsible for the assisting in management of assigned projects and project teams helping to ensure deadlines are met. The projects include subdivision, earthworks, excavation, drainage, sewer, pavement construction and all other associated works.
  
To apply for this role, you need to have recent Project Management experience in Civil Contracting and Land Development and be able to show specific civil projects that you have managed from tender to completion. Additionally, you will need to have managed teams of professionals within those projects .  The ability to plan operationally and deal with statistics is also a key requirement.
  
To be considered for this role, you will need:
  
  • NZDE, NZCE or Bachelor Degree Qualified (BE)
  • Proven track record in delivering civil projects 
  • Must have held a hands on Project Managers role in previous employment, in a contractor environment
  • Must have track record in delivering quality projects and be able to provide examples
  • Strong customer focus and ability to develop those relationships
  • Good computer literacy and exposure to MS Suite
  • Must be able to price variations during day to day running of contract
  • General course requirements added benefit i.e. STMS, First Aid, Site Safe etc
