Our client is the Sole Authorised Distributor in New Zealand for some major global brands. The people working within this business are passionate about their brands, what they do and how they do it.
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you'll play a key role within the shared services Finance Team executing the "end to end" accounts payable function (local and international) as well as a number of other important accounts / accounting tasks. These tasks will include assisting with the preparation of FBT, GST & ACC returns, assisting in the statutory financial audit and preparation of the financial statements, various month & year end duties, reconciliations, generating reports and providing key financial and business information, all the while working in with staff across the business in a positive, value-add manner.
This is an all-encompassing role, a job requiring someone with excellent accounts payable & general accounts, problem solving, communication and business skills. It's essential that applicants have previous relevant experience ideally gained within large, complex New Zealand businesses. A sense of humour and a strong "team" focus is vital. Good computer skills, especially Excel, is a must as well as a natural interest in business process improvement.
